This weekend, TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine attended @TheOrthoForum Strategic Services 2022 Meeting! Over the weekend, TSAOG provided medical coverage at the @sa_sports84 ’ Fit Family Challenge. It was amazing to see the community get fit by participating in a 5K and learning some healthy habits along the way!

Unfortunately, TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine must bid a fond farewell to joint replacement surgeon, Dr. Sean N. Shahrestani.  Dr. Shahrestani will be leaving TSAOG effective Immediately.

Current patients of Dr. Shahrestani will have the option of transferring their care to another TSAOG physician or any other physician of their choice. Big things are happening at the The Burkhart BioSkills Lab!

Today, TSAOG’s very own @drrobhartzler taught #orthopedicsurgeons from across the country during the “Continuum of Care in Shoulder” symposium and cadaveric lab hosted by @stryker.upperextremities @strykersportsmedicine.

Our doctors are always continuing to advance their education in orthopedic care. TSAOG’s @stephentgatesmd, Dr. Anthony Montanez, Dr. Sergio Viroslav, and Carlos Navarro, PA-C attended the event to expand their knowledge on shoulder surgery.

2022 @aaos_1 Annual Meeting

Today, Shoulder & Elbow surgeon @drrobhartzler was a panelist at the 2022 @aaos_1 Annual meeting in Chicago, IL. Dr. Hartzler gave his expertise on a newly FDA approved surgical implant, the InSpace subacromial balloon, which can be used to treat massive, irreparable rotator cuff tears.

The InSpace balloon can be used in certain patients to achieve fast, safe pain relief.

TSAOG’s shoulder surgeons can provide expertise and comprehensive solutions for the most difficult rotator cuff tears!

As of today, the city of San Antonio has moved out of the yellow zones (moderate) and is now in the green zone! (mild)
Therefore, TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine will have mask use Optional for all our providers & staff, and Optional for patients and visitors to wear a mask when entering any of our facilities as we use the same city risk levels.
Just a friendly reminder at this time, below are our current mask guidelines for patients and visitors.

• Yellow Zone – mask use requested
• Red Zones – mask use required
