TSAOG hand and wrist specialist Dr. Paul Pace was interviewed by WOAI Radioyesterday regarding snowboarder Shaun White’s decision to withdraw from the new slopestyle event in the Sochi Olympics and concentrate on the halfpipe following a wrist injury.

It was reported as a jammed wrist, which could indicate a range of possible injuries, but given that he’s going ahead with the halfpipe, Dr. Pace says, “he has probably a partial ligament injury” and might opt to do the halfpipe with a splint or a cast on for stability.
