A hip flexor tenotomy is an open surgical procedure that releases one or more hip flexor tendons to reduce tension and improve hip movement. This procedure may be recommended for patients experiencing pain, tightness, contractures, or limited mobility that has not improved with conservative treatment. By lengthening or releasing the affected tendon, the procedure can help improve comfort, flexibility, and overall hip function.
This procedure cannot be scheduled or purchased without a prior consultation or initial evaluation by one of our healthcare providers. A provider order is required to ensure this treatment is appropriate for your specific condition. This procedure includes facility, anesthesia, professional, and assistant fees. If you require additional treatment at the time of service beyond what is included in the service described above, additional charges may apply.
