Our pain management physicians treat acute and chronic pain affecting the spine, joints, nerves, and muscles. Patients come to us for back and neck pain, sciatica, arthritis, pinched nerves, and pain that lingers after an injury or surgery. If pain is keeping you from work, sleep, or the activities you enjoy, a specialist can help find the source.
Not necessarily. Many patients find relief through non-surgical care. Your physician will look at how your nerves, muscles, and bones work together to identify what is causing your pain, then build a treatment plan around that diagnosis. If surgery would serve you better, our team can connect you with an orthopaedic or spine surgeon at TSAOG.
Treatment depends on your diagnosis and goals. Options may include medication management, injections, physical therapy. Your physician will explain each recommended treatment, what to expect, and how it fits into your overall care plan.
Your physician will review your medical history, ask about your symptoms, and perform a physical exam. Please bring any recent imaging, such as X-rays or MRIs, along with a list of your current medications. Your doctor may order additional tests before recommending a treatment plan.
Consider making an appointment if your pain keeps coming back, hasn’t improved with rest or over-the-counter medication, or makes it hard to work, sleep, or move comfortably. You should also see a specialist if pain spreads into your arms or legs or comes with numbness, tingling, or weakness. For a new injury that needs prompt attention, our Urgent Injury Clinic can help. Seek emergency care right away for pain after a serious accident or pain that comes with loss of bladder or bowel control.
