A distal biceps or triceps repair is a surgery to fix a tendon that has torn away from the bone near your elbow. The biceps tendon helps you bend and rotate your arm, while the triceps tendon helps you straighten it. When one of these tendons tears, it can cause weakness, pain, and difficulty using your arm for everyday activities. During this procedure, the surgeon reattaches the tendon to the bone, often using strong stitches and small anchors, to restore arm strength and function.
