A basic shoulder scope, or shoulder arthroscopy, is a minimally invasive procedure where a surgeon uses a small camera (arthroscope) and tiny instruments to look inside your shoulder joint and treat simple problems. This may include removing loose tissue, cleaning out inflammation, or smoothing rough areas. Because it uses small incisions, patients often experience less pain and a quicker recovery than with traditional open surgery.
